70 Years Later A WWII Vet Cries After Given This From A Thrift Store………….
Bill Moore is a patriot who served in Europe during World War II in the military. He wrote many letters to keep in touch with his family back home and to the love of his life. He didn’t know if he would see them again.
But 70 years later, he couldn’t believe it when a woman found one of his letters in a record sleeve at a thrift store not far from where he lives in Aurora, Colorado. What an incredible story!
Westminster woman recently discovered the letter, dated 1945, tucked inside an old record she bought at a thrift store. The writer could have been anywhere in the world, but it turns out, he wasn’t far away at all.
“I was really surprised,” said 90-year-old veteran Bill Moore from his assisted care facility in Aurora. “I had no way of knowing it would show up in the way it did, and it would actually reach me.”
He cried as he read the words he wrote so long ago to the woman, Bernadean Gibson, who became his wife of 63 years.
“My darling, lovable, alluring, Bernadean,” the letter begins. “I ran out of space, but I could have written a lot more adjectives describing you. You are so lovely, darling, that I often wonder how it is possible that you are mine. I’m really the luckiest guy in the world, you know. And you are the reason, Bernadean. Even your name sounds lovely to me.”
Sadly, his wife is already in Heaven. Clearly, after surviving a war together and spending 63 year years together, he misses her so much.

According to CEO Elon Musk, a new Tesla battery could be the primary source of power for your home and will also offer large-scale utilities a way of storing energy more efficiently.
And in true Musk fashion we’re not going to have to wait years to see the tech. Apparently, the designs for a home and business battery are already finished and are expected to be showcased to the public “in the next month or two.” If you know anything about Elon Musk, you’d know he’s a man of his word too. “It’s really great. I’m really excited about it,” he said. We bet you are Mr Musk and we are too!
No details have been released about pricing yet but it’s likely that it will save you a lot of money over your electric bills from the grid. Given the global boom in solar energy, a lot more of your devices could be kept charged up for free in the near future. One of the biggest problems with generating your own energy from renewable sources has been storing it. Solar energy for example is only generated during the day and any excess energy goes back to the grid. The new Tesla battery will offer a way to store the excess power generated so that you can use it at another time. There has never really been many options to power your home other than to rely on your local utilities provider (or invest in some form of generator). Unless you’re living a frugal life in a small wooden hut or something, solar power hasn’t been able to quite take on the job itself yet. Generating your own power would also mean that you don’t have to deal with frequent outages and the poor customer service o fyour utility provider. “There may be a ‘tipping point’ that causes customers to seek an off-grid approach,” Morgan Stanley wrote last March. “The more customers move to solar, the remaining utility customer bill will rise, creating even further “headroom” for Tesla’s off-grid approach.” Tesla is already laying the groundwork to ensure its stationary batteries get as widely distributed as possible. “A lot of utilities are working in this space, and we’re talking to almost all of them,” said Tesla’s chief technical officer, JB Straubel. “It’s early stage stuff and a lot of these projects are very far out since the procurement cycle for utilities is so long. But this is a business that certainly is gaining an increasing amount of our attention.”

The clip that surfaced on the Internet was a camera trick clip that revealed that behind the American Flag was the Hoods of America. In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground.

The Dodge Challenger Hellcat is a no-holds-barred quarter-mile machine that represents the 707 horsepower zenith of the American muscle ca. The Tesla Model S P85D is the 691 horsepower poster child of the plug-in car movement. It’s only natural that the two would find themselves lining up in a drag race in a battle of old school vs. new, and Mopar fan boys aren’t going to be happy with the results for a multitude of reasons.
First, let’s focus on the fact that the all-wheel drive Model S launches with precision and little fanfare, knocking down a record-setting 11.68 at 114 MPH, making it both the quickest and fastest production electric car out there. It’s also a nearly 5,000 pound family sedan with room for up to seven human beings (if you include the two rear jump seats), so that should give you some idea of just how potent the Dual Motor Drive really is.
But I’d be remiss if I didn’t note that the Challenger Hellcat driver just absolutely sucked, red-lighting, roasting his tires, proving that money can’t buy driving skills. It also demonstrates how, despite similar outputs, how much easier it is to drive and launch an electric car compared to managing a combustion engine. The Tesla can monitor and manage torque on the fly to provide perfect grip, while the Hellcat driver clearly opted to turn the Launch Control option off. In the P85D, all you have to do is select the “Insane” setting, and all that glorious instant torque is at your fingertips.
That said, with a better driver the Challenger Hellcat is supposed to be faster to the tune of an 11.3 second quarter-mile. That 0.3 second difference isn’t much, and it also isn’t easy to attain as this video shows. But just about anyone can get behind the wheel of a P85D and click off 11-second runs all day.
So I ask you which is the better car; the one that takes tremendous skill to drive fast, or the one that takes almost no skill at all?

It isn’t very often – if ever – you get the privilege of shutting down an entire section of highway for your own, completely legal top speed run. That is, of course, if you live in Texas where they do everything big and you’re planted in a modified 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 huffing a 100-shot of nitrous.
On December 11, 2013, a 700 HP Hennessey C7 became the first 2014 Corvette Stingray to break the 200 mph barrier by reaching a maximum speed of 200.6 mph. This was achieved on a closed section of the Grand Parkway which connects I-10 to Hwy. 290 on the west side of Houston, Texas. Officials from TxDOT, Texas DPS and TransCore were on hand to witness the testing of the EZ tag toll system. Special thanks to TxDOT Chairman, Ted Houghton.
The Hennessey C7 Corvette was equipped with the company’s HPE600 upgrade with the addition of a 100 HP Nitrous Express kit.
